I am the writer of the Reddit posts titled Shanann's Slippery Slope. I was a member of the subreddit "WattsOffTopic" until it was hijacked and closed down by the powers that be.
Many of us who are interested in true crime found ourselves drawn to the case of Chris Watts. Chris was a married father of two from Colorado who pled guilty to the murders of his wife Shanann, their two daughters and their unborn son.
This case is unique due to the unlikely perpetrator and the unlikable characteristics of his victim.
There are so many questions that remain unanswered regarding this crime and the lead up to it.
The annihilation of this family is unlike any we have seen. Chris Watts was a gentle and loving husband and father until an August morning in 2018.
There are many dark corners and closed doors in this case and many people want to keep it that way. True Crime fans like myself merely wanted to discuss the things that don't seem to fit but we are shut down at every turn.
I'm hoping I have found a way to protect myself and my writings while also having a place to continue the discussion.
Things aren't quite what they seem in this story and the truth is waiting to be told.
