Reactive vs Proactive.

Reactive vs Proactive.

As the old saying goes, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade."

Things happen in life theta are out of our control. That doesn't mean we should let them control us. We can sit with our lemons and complain because we didn't want lemons we wanted Apple's. We can moan about it. But we cannot change it. We could also make the best of the situation, be proactive, and make lemonade.

Recently I was handed my own case of lemons in the closure of Stadia. And in this closure i have choice. Mope around being sad about what was and what could have been. Or pivot. Move on.

I know there will be people who criticise this pivot. But i still maintain that stadia was the best gaming platform for me and my needs. I still think Google had something magical in thier hands and they let it slip through their fingers.

But it would be ridiculous not to move on to something else. Stadia got me excited about gaming in a way that i haven't been since i was a teenager. I want to carry that excitement through to other platforms. I want to maintain my passion but direct it somewhere else.

I will be still be playing some games on Stadia until the sun sets on it's servers in January. I will still be streaming them too so look out for those. Other than that I will be trying out different services and seeing what can best fill the void that Stadia left. I will be working on a project that will be announced soon. And also following the advice of Rokk:

Thank you Sir for your kind words. Make no mistake that i will have them at the forefront of my mind for the foreseeable.

I don't want to talk in a past tense, because all though Stadia itself may be coming to an end, i would like to think that community will carry on. I hope to stay in touch with all the people i have connected with so far. I will see you wherever this path takes us next.

"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference."
