Write. Edit. Publish.

Jun 20, 2021

I just published a book, Dirty Trust, and I am in the midst of writing one story now. I just realized that I have another one due to the editor soon. So, that means I must pause the one I'm writing and give a little attention to the other book.

This one I wrote a month ago and haven't looked at it since. At least now that I'm going back to it, I can look at it with somewhat fresh eyes.

Knowing me, once I go through it, I will alter it, add to it and delete all of the repeat words I can find.

I know I am not the only author who has anxiety when it comes down to making sure my book is as perfect as possible.

Are there any perfect books out there?

Nope.

Not a one.

But that's okay.

I write to give my readers a way to escape their reality and dive into the fantasy I create.

Now, I will go through this book, make it as good as I can, then send it off to my lovely editor who will rip it apart and place a bandaid on it.

I will gladly take my story back and fix it. There will be plenty of late nights, long days, tired eyes, exhaustion and the consumption of plenty of caffeine.

I want this book to be the best it can be.

What will make this all better is reading the reviews of my readers, and seeing them say it was a great book, they couldn't stop reading it and they can't wait for the next one.

Then what will I do?

Write. Edit. Publish.

This is the life of an author and I love it!

Happy reading,

Peyton
