Let's talk about the audio player. A small thing, but still a few things to talk about.
The player navigation is located at the bottom of the app. It takes up the entire width of the window and contains a series of buttons and controls from left to right you get the:
Podcast logo/icon/picture
30 sec. backward button
Play/Pause toggle button
30 sec. forward button
Progress bar for playback (with timestamp, episode length and episode title)
Volume control (incl. mute button and slider to adjust the volume)
And last but not least the playback speed button
Click any podcast episode in the app to start playback. The episode plays from the beginning, unless you started the episode earlier. The player saves the last position of each episode. This allows you to pause an episode, come back later, and resume at the same time mark.
The player also saves your playback speed. If you want to listen to your podcast at 1.5x or 2x speed, you can set it once and that's it. You don't have to configure it over and over again.
You also have the possibility to control the player with keyboard shortcuts. Play/pause with space bar. Skip forward or backward with the arrow keys. In the app menu you can find all possible keyboard shortcuts.
