This is a momentous day for me. Armored Saber, the TTRPG I've been working for a little over a month now, is finally out for it's 1.0 release! You can grab it right here!
This has been quite the process! And now you can enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed making it! For those interested, the game is totally free to download, and fits on 1 double-sided page! So you can print off enough for a whole FLEET of Mecha!
I did my best to make sure everything you'd need would be accounted for, but I KNOW I missed something. As a result, I intend to make a "How to Play" video later on, detailing how Armored Saber is actually played. 'till then, however, here's a couple of quick notes from the download page itself!
"What is needed to play?" - Armored Saber utilizes a standard set of RPG dice, a notecard for your stats, and a ruler or tape-measurer to track your movement. That's it!
"HOW DOES ATTACKING WORK!?" - This is the part I struggled with longest: Explaining HOW to ATTACK! So, lemme break it down: "When you attack, using a Strike or Shoot Action, you roll 1d20 + the Attribute you select for that Action. If you are attacking with a Weapon Mod, you also add the Weapon Mod Rank die to the pool.
For example: If you are making an Energy based Shot, and you are using the Plasma Rifle Mod, then you would roll 1d20 + your Energy Attribute Rank die + the Weapon Rank die for the Rifle. In this case, 1d4."
"I don't like any of these Mods. Can't I just make my own?" - YES! If you reference the terminology and systems in place for the Mods, then you can do whatever you want! But... If you want, I'm planning on making a Mods Extended Guide later on! So, you'll get some MORE options soon!
