Welcome to the world

Welcome to the world

Mar 10, 2022

Want to make sure you’re spoiler-free? Then you need to watch live, which means you’re going to need s a cable subscription. That’s the cost of loving a Comedy Central original. If you already have cable, just make sure your TV is set to Comedy Central before 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, and you’re set. You can even watch if you’re going to be away from your couch. To do that, simply use your cable username and password on the Comedy Central app to watch live from almost anywhere.

If you’re a cord cutter, you’re also covered. Welcome to the world of live TV skinny bundles. Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and Sling TV all offer packages that include Comedy Central.

None of these options apply to you? We have two more tricks up our sleeve. If you have all the major streaming services, HBO Max is your friend. The streamer has the rights to episodes of South Park, but consider this your warning. It takes HBO Max a couple of days for new episodes to appear, so you may be waiting a while before you can stream them on HBO. And if you want to watch without paying a dime, say hello to South Park Studios. New episodes are posted there for free the day after they air. Just sit through some ads and you’re ready to go.

It will not. The comedy was removed from Hulu in 2020, and HBO Max currently has the licensing deal.

Season 25 of South Park started on Feb. 2, on a Wednesday, the traditional day for the long-running comedy show to premiere new episodes. This means that subsequent episodes will follow each Wednesday, unless the animated series skips a week, like it did earlier last month. South Park took a rare week off in the middle of its season run, causing much confusion amongst fans, myself included. The fourth episode did end up premiering the following Wednesday, however, on March 2. Regardless, the unexpected delay may have you wondering if it could happen again.

outh Park‘s 25th season has been a pretty good one so far, with the show lampooning a lot of the most recent American culture woes such as mask mandates and the housing crisis. We’ve also seen the story development of new South Park staples, such as the goings-on of Tegridy Farms.

The most recent episode, “Back to the Cold War,” featured humorous (if a bit tamed) commentary on the fears of Russian aggression and revitalization of Cold War.

As for what episode 5 will focus on, it is anyone’s guess. Perhaps more commentary on the ongoing Ukraine invasion, perhaps inflation and gas prices. Maybe the show takes the high road and features a self-contained story of the boys in South Park just being boys and getting into trouble. Who knows what it might be about. There is only one way to find out! Be sure to tune in on Comedy Central, 8 p.m. EST, for the latest hijinks!
