We are an International Living History group based in Western North Carolina. We aim at 8th to an 11th-century reenactment of the Viking & Slavic cultures as a primary influence. Our focus is education, we teach historic archery, trades and crafts, and food preparation typical for the Viking era. We love to share about the ancient ways, the old beliefs and runes.
Our objective is to provide the most authentic and fun experience possible. We wish to keep our Appalachian Viking and Slavic Festival free of charge, with no tickets, so everyone can have a chance to experience a genuine immersion into the lifestyle of Scandinavian and Slavic people from the past. We host warriors, shield maidens, archers, camp followers, merchants and more. Have a cup of coffee (or mead) with real Viking and help us continue the journey by buying us a cup of mead (we love coffee too).
