In this online tutorial, we’ll be creating an atmospheric figure drawing through a variety of charcoal techniques. We’ll spend some time at the start getting good structure & proportions, and then spend the majority of the session creating the illusion of shape & form within the figure, through the beautiful & shadowy medium of charcoal. Recommended materials: Brown or grey paper (preferably A3 or larger), Willow charcoal, Charcoal pencils, White charcoal pencil / pastel pencil, Kneadable eraser, Blending stumps, Sandpaper block for sharpening
