Robert Goetschkes enlisted in the United States Coast Guard during the Gulf War and served honorably for eleven years. He then earned a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a Field Endorsement in Secondary Social Sciences. This led him to teach for 25 years, twenty-two of which were spent in inner-city Los Angeles schools. Robert is currently enjoying retirement, splitting his time between Prescott, Arizona and Venice Beach, California
