The Golden Canyon hike is probably the busiest hike in Death Valley National Park. The canyon ends at The Red Cathedral, and most people simply return to the trailhead after experiencing the towering red cliffs above. However, we are going to go a little bit further, and turn this into a loop hike. We will hike up to Manly Beacon, pass through some badlands, then hike down Gower Gulch. I only saw five other people on this section of the trail, which is the way I like it. I hope you'll join me, and enjoy a part of Death Valley that many don't see.
