Hiking on The Fault to The Grotto / San Andreas Fault / Box Canyon Road / Salton Sea ~ CA

http://bit.ly/3JWRHSM - Grottos I & II, or The Grotto, is located along the San Andreas Fault, with the trailhead being along Box Canyon Road near Coachella, or the Salton Sea, CA. (Don't confuse this with The Grotto in Death Valley). This hike did not disappoint me. The canyons were beautiful, the colors in the rock reminded me of Death Valley and the Artists Pallet, the scrambling and crawling into darkness gave me just enough of a thrill considering I was alone, and the two Oasis at the end were a welcome surprise. I didn't know what to expect at The Grotto's, but fortunately, it was all doable without a partner, even for a fun-sized lady like me. LOL The best I can tell, this hike is right on the San Andreas Fault at its southern end. You can imagine how grateful I was that the big one didn't happen while I was there.
