I am a medical doctor based in Karnataka, India. I am an editor and podcast host at the online journal Taseel Commons where I have engaged and interviewed leading thinkers and scholars from various fields, including the Guardian columnist and author Oliver Burkeman, philosopher Raymond Tallis, anthropologist Arthur Kleinman, psychoanalyst Josh Cohen, the Hindu scholar Anantanand Rambachan, the historian Juan Cole, and the Oxford philosopher Shabbir Akhtar to name a few.
I am the founder and chief organizer of the Kalaburagi Book Club which has reviewed over 30 plus books in the past 2 years. A creative and open space in the city that hosts discussions on popular and classic literature in English as well as spanning the local languages of Kannada, Hindi, and Urdu.
I have presented various papers at conferences on philosophy, religion, and medicine. My paper “Big Pharma in Clinical Trials: A Critical Appraisal” was presented at the first “International Conference on Bioethics in the Health Sciences” organized in India by UNESCO.
I am currently pursuing a Masters in Philosophy with a specialization in Indian philosophy and Hinduism.
