This is the stainless steel water tank that I removed from the bow of The Kraken.
I have tried cutting sections out of it for reuse as various projects on board, one being making some brackets to attache the radar and wind turbine to the mizzen mast. Electricity prices at the marina have trebled from 1st September and as I could barely afford the previous charges I have to get some alternative power and heat sources into place PDQ!
The turbine is heavy so is a bit of a worry. I have seen turbines mounted on mizzen masts of other ketches but I dont think a bracket attached to the mast alone will do. More posts on this to come as I attempt to go 'Off Grid'
