Hi all, I've been quiet on social media over the holidays as I needed a bit of a "staycation," even though that was largely in my own inner self! However that doesn't mean I haven't been on the internet, as I've been hard at work in the studio planning my year.
I found two fabulous blogs that I wanted to pass along for other aspiring realist artists. Of course, there are countless art resources out there but I found Paul Foxton and Linda Mann to be two painters who have grabbed -- and kept -- my attention these past few weeks. Although their styles are very different, I admire their commitment to helping others reach their goals, and have a way of describing the inner process that is so personal to every artist.
A particular note: Paul has done quite a bit of self-study with copying Bargue plates, and as I'm doing this right now at home, this is how I initially found him. I recommend reading this category if you're in the same boat and need a bit of help.
Of course, the way these two artists communicate and share with the world resonate very much with me and I hope they will with you, too.
