Hello Friends!
This is an invitation to check out my video, Solstice Song: A Christmas Carol for the 21st Century. This story, which was originally written for the stage -- energetically a very different animal than film/movies-- is an experiment, in that I played around with narration and abstract lighting to create a "theater of YOUR mind" experience that I hope will feel something like live drama.
Solstice Song borrows the architecture of Dickens' A Christmas Carol (3 ghosts, time travel) but Solstice Song involves a modern context, new characters, and a different narrative, involving Andrew Blossom, an American engineer turned defense contractor post-September 11, and the Ghosts of Conspiracy Theory Past, Present & Future, who visit Andrew on the evening of Winter Solstice, December 21, 2012 to help Andrew understand his context, his present situation, and the implications of both for him and for the future of humanity.
