Hello Everyone! I'm Andréa Butler, EIC/Publisher of Sesi. Shout out to our new followers and supporters! I wanted to drop a quick note during this second day of #SmallBusinessWeek to update you on what we're working on.
Right now, we're in the middle of our summer issue -- our 7th-annual Natural Hair Love issue -- which comes out mid-June and ships through the end of July. This means our writers have been assigned stories that are starting to come in, and I'm starting to edit those stories (and write some myself). I'm also working with PR reps to secure images for products we've chosen to feature in some of the beauty articles. Besides writing, editing, and working with PR pros, I'm also planning a cover shoot, working three side jobs, and always fundraising. :)
Your contributions go directly toward printing (which is about $5,000 – $6,000 per issue), shipping (about $2,500 per issue), and paying our POC writers, photographers, and designers (about $5,000 per issue), so THANK YOU!
