as someone who was literally told the other day "you're quieter than a church mouse" (absolutely not always true but usually) I appreciate today's message from the Oats oracle card from the herbiary deck. it's okay to just be. maybe it's in silence, maybe you're entranced by music or doing any mundane or magical thing, but you can just be there in the Now and let your thoughts flow in and out without getting stuck on repeat. You can always simply start by paying attention to your breath and then the rhythmic breath of the natural world. allow the sound of birds chirping or water flowing replace your worried thoughts and cleanse your headspace. get comfy with your inner world and decorate it however you please.
Oats is an herb that softens rough edges of the mind the same way it softens your skin. you can add them to a bath soak (powdered or in a wash cloth to save the drain) or body scrub, adding any other natural ingredients you may have. a milky oats tincture is excellent for calming the nerves and relaxing the mind.
