It's Friday; time to straighten the beds...

Nov 11, 2022

Straighten your beds.

It's Friday. Time to straighten the beds (and turn out the lights).

You've done well dear leaders.

They're maybe miles left in the tank; but you need to leave credits in the bank. And that includes straightening the corners and getting the sheets tucked in.

You see: you sleep better in a well made bed; clean sheets and tight corners

People, like pillows, need plumping so it's also time to lay down your pens and tell your people they're something. Remover how you felt as a child being tucked in - adults love it too.

End the week on a high - all straight for next week.

And what about you.

Is your bed made? desk clean, diary sorted, emails answered. It's hard to think straight in a messy head and in a messy room. Ideally this afternoon is your 'getting' stuff straight time.

But if you find yourself here; bed a mess and clothes strewn all over the floor - what do you do?

  1. Cancel a meeting that can be delayed or isn't really necessary or send one of your team whom have capacity instead of you. Set a new trend of empowerment. Use this for 'straightening the sheets'.

  2. Free up - next Friday afternoon it's important for the success of the following week.

  3. Set aside 10 mins at the end of the day to write down how you feel with a 'tidy bed' - take that into Friday evening.

This is within your gift. Remember people sleep better in straightened beds.

For the weekend
