One Week

Mar 18, 2022

So I uploaded the first episode a few weeks ago. I decided for no particular reason that the first episode would launch on the 25th of March. The date has no historical significance up for me. It's just another day.

Just like preparing for anything, I have checked and double checked as many things as I can. I made sure the RSS feeds are good to go for the directories. I made sure my hosting was paid up. I made sure the podcast audio was good to go. I have nothing left to do but let it go and see what happens.

This nervous energy is amazing and slightly debilitating. I have taken that energy into getting the next episodes and guests lined up to keep this thing going. So I figured I would drop a few hints for the first episodes mainly because I'm excited to share it. Once the first one steps off, it'll be a weekly schedule. Every Friday from now til whenever. So yeah previews, here is the lineup for the first 5 Episodes.

Episode 1: My broadcasting school teacher Jeff Sack. He's had an amazing life. From a highly dysfunctional family 2nd only to the Manson Family (his words) to a successful 3rd act career in Cleveland Broadcasting and teaching the next generation of radio. I might be the only one who loves this podcast, I might not.

Episode 2: Ken Glanc, the founder of Operation Comic Book a literacy program helping kids tell their story, and then founder/creator of The Suburban Dog Walker, a new sport and health literacy program born out of the pandemic. I've known Ken for damn near 20 years. Always love talking to him. He's had a journey as well.

Episode 3: Kristen Lorenz, a Registered Dietitian who I've followed for years on Facebook and Instagram, and then I found her on TikTok. She is fighting the good fight about re-framing success regarding food, weight loss, and diet culture. She'll explain why we need to divorce ourselves from the scale. We also talk about large bodied vs small bodied people, and what it means to be "healthy". Loved our conversation.

Episode 4: This is going to be really heavy. I mean really heavy. Trigger warnings all over this one. We are going deep with Jay Buchholz who I met in the rucking community. We go deep on his background and struggles with mental health from childhood to adulthood. We talk about his suicide attempt and survival from it. This one will feel like it ends abruptly but we will do a 2nd episode with Jay because he's come a long way and I can't wait for the follow up on this one.

Episode 5: We get to talk to Dan Mason, or as I knew him back in the day as the Notorious D.A.N. as the Program Director and Mid Morning host of KissFM in Cleveland. He pivoted super hard and gave up a 6 figure job to start a nationally recognized life coaching practice. His story is amazing, his outlook on life is energizing, and he is incredibly open and gracious with his time. Keep an eye on Instagram because I got photos from our time together at KissFM in the Cleveland.

That's the line up and I'm excited to share it all. Subcribe to the podcast where ever you find your podcasts or go to http://www.surviveeveryday.com.

See you next week....
