It wasn't easy to promote and persist that making movies and videos with the camera on your phone would be possible and a real contender in the film and video production industry.

Back in 2009, the iPhone 4 did not even exist. I launched the International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego in the Spring of 2009 with my company, S. Botello Productions™. It was the first in-person live film festival in the world for only movies shot with mobile phones for the cinema. A pioneer.

On October 27th, 2017 I published the first official episode of the SBP Podcast Mobile Filmmaking. Free for guests and listeners. I spent almost a year wrecking my brain to host guests who made films with smartphones to give them a voice as part of a growing global community of mobile filmmakers.

I continue to put on the annual live in-person film festival each year in San Diego with the help of people who support my passion, and love seeing me share it with you.
