Where are the decent-paying online English teaching positions?
Online English Teachers Feeling Discouraged
In online teacher groups, I've been noticing many teachers and prospective teachers who are worried about the current pay rates being offered to online English teachers. In a conversation, I was told by a fellow teacher in an online company, that the average pay for online teachers is currently $12 USD per hour, implying that it's better to "accept what you get". Many online English teachers have also been expressing concern about the field of online English teaching becoming overly saturated, especially since the "pandemic" and are feeling discouraged... but how much truth is there to this? Are there any companies that hire online English teachers at decent rates?
I say, don't give up and keep the hunt going if your goal is to teach English with a company online. As a digital nomad, education/training specialist and mommypreneur for over 16 years, I recommend staying focused if this is the field for you.

Job description:
Bilin Academy (https://www.bilinacademy.com) is an online live class platform providing international, multilingual learning experiences for children. We work on a mission to cultivate our next generation to be multilingual global citizens, and bridge cultural and language gap through education.
Candidates will teach Language Arts classes several times per week, depending on course demand. Students are in varying time zones.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective online English lessons to students
Plan and prepare lesson materials and activities
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress
Communicate effectively with students and their parents or guardians
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in English, education, or related field
A native English speaker
At least 2 years of experience teaching English in a group setting.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred qualifications:
State teaching license
Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Knowledge of language assessment and testing like TOEFL, IELTS
