Week Ten

Nov 27, 2020

It seems a long time ago since I started the December to Remember project and I see on social media that the #decembertoremember is already trending, although not all posts are for this project!

This week I have another two businesses who have joined and offered their support, first up is Huerto Canario, these guys offer the most amazing fresh fruit and vegetable boxes, delivered to your home and I know this will be a welcome addition for the vulnerable families who have been receiving food parcels. Not only will they be accepting our vouchers they have also given a €20 voucher.

Also the lovely Kim & Jeremy from Casa Cabaña Restaurant in the old town of Puerto Del Carmen. Serving  traditional favourites like Beef Wellington and Calves Liver and Bacon as well as catering for those that are Gluten free and suitable for Coeliac. Not only will they be accepting our vouchers they have also given a €40 voucher.

Today I announced on my social media that for the next 2 weeks you can buy a personalised video from yours truly by simply donating €10 and mentioning in the comments that you would like a video and I will get in touch for the details. Of course if you have already donated you could buy the next donation as a lovely for a Lanzarote lover!

I read today about baby Vida ( which means life in Spanish ) at just 10 days old and weighing less than 2 kilos, through no fault of her own, Vida’s mum was unable to provide the essentials she and the baby needed.

Playa Blanca Food bank and local peoples generosity and kindness changed that providing food for the family, baby equipment, clothes, nappies, and baby formula.
Vida is now a healthy and gorgeous 5 month old, Vida and her family are now registered and entitled to government help, access to medical care and, in the future, education.

This is just one of the many stories of families who have been affected, so lets make it a December to Remember! Feel free to share this post or any of the posts with your friends on social media, the more people we can share the details with the more money we will raise and so the more families we can help.

Have a wonderful weekend!
