This month, on The Venture...
I started off the month posting about my editing journey (That Expat Girl Edits a Novel), including my goals for my current round of revisions, which involve revisiting my second draft to tighten up my rewrites.
However, I realised it might be more helpful to look at the process as a whole. So starting from the very beginning with inspiration, I've begun a new series on my novel-writing process. Take a look at the Introduction (That Expat Girl's Guide to Writing a Novel) to the series, or dive into the first post (Part I: Ideas) for a few practical exercises to help you generate new ideas.
I'll also be adding posts to this series over the next few weeks, with member extras right here on Buy Me a Coffee, so don't forget to subscribe on my blog. That way, you'll know as soon as the next post is up!
Finally, I also posted a review (Boyars, Orphans, and Other Creatures of the Night) for The Deathless Girls by Kiran Millwood Hargave. A solid foray into YA with a feminist exploration of an oft-overlooked aspect of the Dracula mythos.
In any case, happy May, friends! Don't forget to follow me on instagram @that_expat_girl or twitter @thatexpatgirl, and stay safe!
