In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful By the dawn and the ten nights, by the even and the odd, by the passing night–– Is all this ˹not˺ a sufficient oath for those who have sense? Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with 'Aad, [the people of] Iram, possessing [bodies like] columns unmatched in any other land; And Thamud who carved rock out of the valley; and the mighty and powerful Pharaoh? who were (all) so arrogant in the land and increased corruption there? So Your Lord unleashed the scourge of torment on them. Surely your Lord is indeed Ever-Observing. [The nature of] man is that, when his Lord tries him through honor and blessings, he says, ‘My Lord has honored me,’ but when He tries him through the restriction of his provision, he says, ‘My Lord has humiliated me.’ Absolutely not! In fact, you are not ˹even˺ gracious to the orphan, nor do you urge one another to feed the poor. And you devour ˹others’˺ inheritance greedily, You love money till it's brimming over! Enough! When the earth is entirely crushed over and over, and your Lord comes ˹to judge˺ with angels, rank upon rank, and brings up Hell on that day; on that day everyman will remember, But what's the use of remembering then? They will cry, “I wish I had sent forth ˹something good˺ for my ˹true˺ life.” On that Day He will punish ˹them˺ severely, like no other, and bind ˹them˺ tightly, like no other. ˹Allah will say to the righteous,˺ “O tranquil soul! Return to your Lord satisfied with Supreme Satisfaction! So join My servants, and enter My Paradise.”
