The Animal Reader is an animal news platform with daily posts on issues that affect animals. Animals should be discussed in news media the same way we talk about humans.

What you see now is that animals are always referred to as economic value, secondary to humans. Trying to change that narrative. I'm a journalist from the Netherlands, and started the website because I want to play my part in changing the inequality between animals and humans.
