I think this was my favorite look from this set somewhere in a park in North Carolina. I was heading to Kentucky to visit friends, and a photographer reached out to me. We shot early in the morning.
2021 is drawing to a close, and I've been reflecting a lot on this past year. It was hard. I lost a very dear friend to me, which impacted my art to a large degree. I felt my heart has been absent from it. Just going through the motions. But I'm not going to stop. I will get through this.
I have hopes for 2022. If anything 2021 taught me the value of self-healing and perseverance, but I don't want my demons, my aches, my pains to be in control. I am going to own this coming year. It's time.
