Thanks for your latest Coffee Catch Up Ash, its good to catch up with yourself And take a break now and then, enjoy!I’ve been following you for a long time and see that we have a lot in common, i.e. ex-military, enjoy good appearance, grooming and clothes, Barbour jackets ( I have many), reading, the outdoors, keeping fit (I’m a parkrun enthusiast), Union Jack Club member, hobbies (model railway), healthy cooking and eating; an outdoor refuge hut, etc. etc.Now that I’m retired, grandchildren and volunteering in many capacities keeps me busy. Some ideas for topics may I suggest Ash;* Life long learning - I managed an OU degree after leaving the Army but have also done lesser courses in languages, cookery and art.*Community involvement and support - Neighbourhood watch, beach cleaning, litter picking, footpath preservation, blood donation.* Manners, politeness, courtesy & smiles - in all our daily encounters with others; look out for opportunities to brighten someone else’s day; random acts of kindness; hold open a door to let a lady go first. *Kent - a Royal Warrant company manufacturers of superior grooming products, quality combs and brushes.*Relaxing Sedentary projects - Write your own biography and family history; (during Lockdown I wrote a book about my Army life); observe the birds at your bird table, nest box, bird bath or pond; try reading or writing some poetry; try some serious music from film scores, musicals, operetta's etc. *Explore your local library - Books and much more, resources, events, local information, activities.*Growing something - window box to polly tunnel, greenhouse to house plants, allotments to hanging baskets; all nature’s miracles at our fingertips.* A personal habit of mine - always keep a clean handkerchief in my left hand pocket of every pair of trousers, every day all day. A lesson from my father.Ash, maybe some ideas there.Very best regards,Greg Wilson

Morning Ash! Wonderful to hear from you again. I’m happy you’re challenges are not weighing you down to the point of no communication. It’s pretty cold here in SE PA considering it was 70 degrees two weeks ago and we’re all starting to break out the parkas and scarves. For me it’s the Belstaff Trailmaster( such a classic) and gilet. What are your thoughts on Belstaff? Pretty trendy stuff but what a cool heritage. I’m looking forward to your new series about habits and can’t wait to compare and contrast them to my life. I think as men and chaps we owe it to ourselves to frequently have a “check in” with our present state of body and mind. It’s also very important to me to stay fluid and adaptive to life. The amusing thing about that is that I always say to myself what would a true chap do in this situation. It’s because of you and your channel that I now always try to stop and think of that before I react to a situation. Thanks again for all you do for us as men on this journey to chap nirvana!!!👍👍👍
