My sister, Karen, and I are quite close. Here we are at the Minnesota State Fair in August 2022 where we made sure we had at least two stops to get coffee! And one of them good ol fashioned Lutheran Church egg coffee! (that was the title of the coffee at the church stand where we had our supper!)
She stopped by this morning where we had..you guessed it...coffee with some of Dave and Janet's doughnuts I purchased last weekend. What a treat!
There is nothing like a special bond and the sharing of some goodies as we had fellowship together. Now we'd already conversed this morning, but that didn't stop the flow of conversation from, well, flowing!
Included in our discussions was an interview I conducted with Matthys Kroon about his micro green production. Matthys came to the Fergus Falls Farmers Market for the first time last year as a vendor. He's very engaging and great to talk to. He hails from South Africa. His wife is from North Dakota. They chose to live in Fergus Falls as they found the community has the feel of a small town yet the amenities they looked for in a larger community.
Welcome to our town, Kroon family! We look forward to more visits and to purchase micro greens at the Farmers Market. He also sells micro greens at Dutchmen Organics in Fergus Falls. (formerly Meadowfarm Foods).
