Hi Outdoor and Travel Lovers,

I am a dance athlete/professional that travels throughout the world about 40 weeks per year teaching, performing, socializing, and consulting.

In addition to my main job, I am a serious outdoor enthusiast and backpacker, gear outfitter, and educator. I am a total gear-head when it comes to outdoor and travel gear; I know gear is very personal to each hiker, backpacker, trekker, or traveler, hence, HYOH (hike your own hike).

My goal is to test and review gear; giving viewers my recommendations, advice, and thoughts. I recommended and sold gear to many customers while working at REI (USA) and Fjällräven.

Logging over two-million air miles, 58 countries, many cities, and tons of trails (since I was a kid); has given me valuable insight into both traveling and outdoor gear; hopefully, I can help you when selecting the right gear for your backpacking or travel adventures.

I base between Singapore, Germany, Japan, Finland, Sweden, and many other countries; Bend, OR is where I call home when in the USA.
