Given the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, as well as increasing tensions globally, I thought it timely to repost this excellent discussion with Dr Douglas Fields, author of the insightful book 'Why We Snap: Understanding the Rage Circuit in Your Brain'.

If you haven't listened to the episode yet, I highly recommend you do so. We talked about the evolutionary reasons behind violence and rage as well as what triggers it. It turns out, there are 9 circuits in our brain that, if triggered, will result in rage. These circuits impact us individually and collectively. Increasing our awareness of these hard-wired pathways seems extremely important in our current geopolitical environment.

Thanks for listening.
