Kia ora, I’m Rachael, and if it involves words, I can help. I’m a freelance creative communications, engagement, and relationship management specialist, based in New Zealand. I’m best at creating word things, but I turn my hand to design, photography, and website building too.

I work with clients around the world, transforming their businesses with authentic, values-based, narrative digital marketing. I also teach, and write poetry, short stories and a 'thing' that will hopefully become a novel.

And I’m living with a chronic illness that limits the ability of my little business to keep up with the cost of existing.

I believe there is no substitute for genuine human connection. Humans working their guts out for minimum wage while robots write poetry and make art is not the world I want to live in.

The world makes the most sense when I’m outside breathing with my horses, or underneath a pile of dogs. I work from home, and when I’m creating for you it’s highly likely that my littlest rescue dog Stormii has climbed up inside my hoodie.

If you’re in need of a freelance word person, I can help you with all your written content, social media content, and basic graphic design. I can build you a website, or teach you any of the above. I can even write you your very own poem.

If you don’t require such things, it would mean the world to me if you might consider buying me a coffee! Or a soy-based beverage with lots of sugar in it. Or tea. (I’m not fussy, I swear).

Your support will help me cover things when I’m having a flare. It will help reduce my stress levels, which will increase my creativity. It will mean I can continue to spoil my five rescue dogs rotten. It may even mean I don’t need to sell pictures of my feet on the internet.
