I just finished working on improving the way Reoccurring Tasks work and behave. They now reset at midnight every day and become uncompleted and visible in your Tiny Tasks list independently from having the "Reset tasks" (formerly "Timer") button turned on.
Here are a few other improvements that will be shipped and available on version 1.6.0:
Reoccurring tasks go to the top of the uncompleted/completed list.
Added the number of completed tasks on the “Show/Hide completed” button.
What was the “Timer” switch button is now “Reset tasks” – for more clarity of what the switch button does – resets all tasks at midnight: deletes all but reoccurring tasks.
“Clears in (remaining daytime)” to “Resets in (remaining daytime)”.
“Clear tasks” warning message in the popup when you click the button.
These should be available to you shortly on your Tiny Tasks extension.
