Hey all! I am an independent musician. I'm trying to earn enough money to get my live show going again. I am looking to raise $10,000 by July 22, 2022 to help support a small 10 to 20 stop solo Midwest tour at the end of Summer and early fall. This helps cover costs that include a digital marketing, a small PA, gig cases, the cost of a competent digital tech, and possibly a seasoned drummer and bassist this go around AND/OR a reliable mini-van. Obviously, I'm putting skin-in-the-game as well and you'll see me continuing to work hard.
When you're first starting out as a musician (or restarting in my case), it's like any other business; you need seed capital. As a solo artist, it is incredibly cost prohibitive without help. Therefore, I am asking for your help with start-up costs. As much as I believe in my music, I don't think it's right to ask others to play for free when it's your vision, so I NEED to be able to pay musicians.
Finally, like a lot of people, I have a side gig. In addition to my main gig as a business coach for a small business incubator in my area, I drive for Uber and Lyft for extra money. I would like this to replace my part-time gig. I'm under no delusion that my old ass will be the "next big thing" or that I can even make this a career. But I certainly believe I can make this a hobby-business, make a little economic impact for some musicians, and have some fun time with you all. Please support my version of the American Dream and I'll play for you like it's Madison Square Garden.
