Joo Min-gyu (Ulsan), who was a strong candidate to replace Hwang Ui-jo (Norwich City), had no chance. 먹튀검증사이트

On the 18th, coach Jürgen Klinsmann of the national soccer team announced through the Korea Football Association a list of 16 national team players who will participate in domestic convocation training starting on the 26th.

The players participating in this domestic training, mainly selected from domestic players, will be convened at a hotel in downtown Seoul from the 26th to the 31st and will begin to control their condition by focusing on physical training indoors without outdoor training.

All K-League players will begin training on the 26th, and overseas players will join training according to their individual return home schedules. Coach Klinsmann plans to announce the final entry for the Asian Cup, which has increased from 23 to 26, on the 28th.

However, teams participating in the Asian Cup can only register 23 of the 26 players for each game, and the remaining 3 must sit in the technical seat and watch the game. The national team will move to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), a training camp, on January 2nd next year and begin final training.

Most overseas players join in Abu Dhabi. Ju Min-gyu (Ulsan), who had been raised as a possibility of being newly selected, was not named again.

Joo Min-gyu, who became the top scorer in K-League 1 last season, attracted attention as a player who would complement the front line attackers.

This is because Hwang Ui-jo (Norwich City) has a problem. Hwang Ui-jo, who had been playing as a frontline striker for the national soccer team, became a suspect on charges of illegal filming.

The BBC said, "31-year-old striker Hwang Ui-jo was indicted on charges of filming a sex scene with his ex-girlfriend on a cell phone and sharing it on social media."

The Korea Football Association said on the 28th that it would suspend the national team until the results of the investigation are released. He said, “I was excluded from the representative list.”

At the same time, Norwich City also said that they were aware of this problem. Nottingham Forest, Hwang Ui-jo's former club, told the BBC, "We will not make a statement until the results of the investigation are released."

To make matters worse, Hwang Ui-jo, who had already been investigated in Korea, quietly moved to England after finishing the group match against China in the second qualifying round of the Asian region of the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup held in China.

While some overseas players were traveling on chartered planes, Hwang Ui-jo carefully moved to Guangzhou and departed for England.

Previously, the Korea Football Association announced on the 28th of last month that it had decided not to select Hwang Ui-jo as a member of the national team until the investigative agency comes to a clear conclusion.

Ethics Committee Chairman Lee Yun-nam said, “National team players have a duty to maintain their honor with a high degree of morality and responsibility,” and “In that regard, we took into consideration the fact that they must manage various aspects, including their personal lives.” Explained.

He added, "We took into consideration various circumstances, including concerns about how (the incident) would affect the national team and concerns about how the national team's fans would feel if this player played for the national team."

Therefore, there was a high possibility that Joo Min-gyu would join the national team to reinforce the front line attackers.

Joo Min-gyu was named to the preliminary list (50 players) for the 2015 East Asian Cup under former coach Uli Stielike, but was not selected in the final list, and has not been on the national team once since.

The domestic players selected for domestic convocation training are Hyun-Woo Cho, Young-Kwon Kim, Seung-Hyeon Jeong, Tae-Hwan Kim, Young-Woo Seol (Ulsan), Jin-Soo Kim (Jeonbuk), Ki-Je Lee (Suwon), Joo-Seong Kim (Seoul), Sun-Min Lee (Gwangju), Seon-Min Moon, and Jin-Seop Park (Above). Jeonbuk), a total of 11 people.

This list is not the final list for the Asian Cup, but since it includes most of the domestic players who have been called up for the A match, it seems virtually difficult for Joo Min-gyu to be selected again.

There are five overseas players participating in the domestic training camp: Gyu-seong Cho (Midtjylland), Jae-seong Lee (Mainz), In-beom Hwang (Crvena Zvezda), Woo-young Jeong (Stuttgart), and Jae-seong Lee (Mainz).

Coach Klinsmann said, “As many players have finished the season and have to start preparing for the competition in a very exhausted state, the purpose of this training is to ensure that the players leave for Qatar in the best condition through appropriate rest and training.”
