We are happy to announce that we have published the first preview version of the Sigma Planner.

Sigma Planner is a free software design application for Windows, which allows you to design structures using the Sigma Modular Construction System. The Sigma Modular Construction System is the Transhuma's solution proposal to the Standardized Modular Construction Challenge introduced in the book The Future We Are Building I have written.

Sigma is a general-purpose building system usable in structures from sheds to family houses to apartment buildings to factories to office spaces. Sigma follows the intermodal shipping container standard in sizes, which allows combination with shipping containers and many prefabricated modules using the same standard. Every Sigma component is an open design, so anyone in the world can manufacture these components and sell them. More information on our website https://transhuma.tech/

Sigma Planner is here to help Sigma sellers and buyers design structures and estimate costs. There are only basic structural components at the moment. In the near future, we would like to add more Sigma components, but also non-Sigma placeable stuff (decorations), so everyone could design a cozy home of their own using the Planner.

Personally, I am hoping for way more from Planner in the course of the upcoming several months. I would like to run virtual experiments by designing and simulating entire communities within the Planner to see how demand and production will work in detail, in a future world free of stress, laws, orders, and hate.

If you try out the Sigma Planner, please give feedback. :-)
