I'm smiling here because it's the start line and I didn't realise just how tough running 50km would be. The soft sand broke me. I knew there was 8km of soft sand and was prepared for that but when I found out we had another 9km I really struggled.
And then a '2km to go' sign when I'd run 49.5km was the nail in the coffin.
It was a challenge. I did it. I'm done!
