I've been using these wonderful little Stanley honing guides for a number of years now... And now Lee Valley have introduced their own replica of the little gem to their arsenal of tools. The images in this video I credit to Axminster Tools who are selling the Lee Valley replica honing guide So easy to set up and use, I'm surprised its not been repeated earlier. However, I would think it's more likely to do with the patent life expired.
I show how to use it, for the 25° and 30° positions. I also show one of the best TIPS FOR USING the guide. You would never go back once you've experienced it.
How I use it on the stone and how it will teach you muscle memory if you bring the wheel off the stone.
