I'm not a big fan (if at all) of NY resolutions.

It's not that they never stick, as you'll see me say often, we have wants and needs but we don't will these: they arise, and that's that.

That doesn't mean we might not want to change our lives, do something different or...,well, you know, like, argh, makes things so much better.

I get it.

But in the end, as fatalistic as it might sound, this moment is all you'll ever have, and it would be as well to try to produce a prompt, instruction or (dare I say) a mantra to remind you of that.

Why?

Because life is fleeting, and if all you're ever doing is wishing for something else, you'll miss what's right here, right now.
