Buy Nicholas Fraser a coffee

Hey thanks for stopping by my name is nick and I am the blogger behind the whats on north Wales website. When I'm not blogging I'm in the great outdoors of north Wales.

Hey guys thanks for stopping by. At whatson we try and create really honest-no-faff content that gives you all, some on the ground tips from a locals perspective. We want to help you enjoy the best stay ever. We spend loads of hours a week creating this content outside of our 9-5 jobs, and its easy because we love what we do! If you want to support us, buying us a coffee every now and again really helps keep us motivated and caffeinated! If not no worries- we'll carry on sharing the love anyhow and hopefully deliver more value to all of our subscribers as time goes by! Thank you for your support! Nick

Helen Pitt bought a coffee.

Good useful info. Thanks. Any up to date jellyfish distribution info would be appreciated. I had a Rare, fab, jelly free swim a couple of weeks ago off Penmaenmawr.

Helen, thank you so much for the support, we really appreciate it ! Glad you liked the article and yes the waters have been jelly free for around a month now from holy island anyhow.. Ive been swimming at Penmon, Trearddur, Porth daffach an a few more the past week and not one sighting. They seem to peak in June I find - so your in the clear now ! Thanks again of your support it really helps :)

Hi Nick, that’s great to know, thank you. I will get back to the beach today!  Best wishes.

Hey Helen, Yes you should be fine now, if in doubt I wear (thin 1mm) wetsuit socks, (thin 1mm gloves) and a hood. I often like to actually swim with my face mask not goggles , they help during jelly time! safe swims :)

Hey nick, I enjoyed reading your blog. We are building an eco friendly little house up near Cemaes bay to come move to when our daughter leaves home. Now we can come back to wales we want to forage some mussels for tea. We used to go to a beach at moelfre but none there last year. Do you know what beaches we should be looking at in that area of Anglesey ? We will sign up for some foraging when you’re up and running again.  Diolch Wendy and Dom
