An apple & a thought. Dancing cafe

An apple & a thought. Dancing cafe

Jan 19, 2023

Hi!

Ok. Today I’m in my favorite new café. Probably it’s time to write here An apple & a thought series.

There are always A LOT of people. Very popular place. Why?

I don’t know. Maybe they add something in the air? Love, magic, coffee, dance. The waiter (one of them) already knows me (I like it)

- Double cappuccino? Cake? The last piece of that raspberry god was left for you.

- Oh no. Not today. I’m sorry. I don’t want.

- Ok.

Sometimes (always), it’s good not to lie to yourself.

The Blonde is leaving.

- Bill, please.

The waiter (one of them) is dancing. Sunny is playing in the air.

The Dancing Waiter cleaned the table. I had my double cappuccino. Two young men are talking. One in a red hoodie, another – in a grey. Oh. So Hoodie Men. They are discussing something very important for them. The hands of Grey Hoodie Man are flying in the air. Probably a good storyteller he is.

The Girl with Smiling eyes & lips is looking at the serious man near her.

- Oh, Man. She likes you. Are you blind? This dancing smile. Don’t be stupid. Answer to this dance.

Elvis Presley, with his It’s now or never is playing for them.

- The waiters turned it in for you.  Cupids. I knew it.

A grey-haired woman is cleaning the floor. Her eyes are serious. She’s tired. Probably she needs this job but doesn’t like it.

OMG. How often do we do something because we have to do it? Or don’t give ourselves a chance to change it.

Why?

We are people. We are afraid.

Oh. Hoodie Men are leaving.

- Bye, - from Red Hoodie Man.

- Bye, – from Grey Hoodie Man.

- Have a lovely evening, - the waiter said. Katchi is playing.

The Man in Black Hat is trying hard to choose a cake. He didn’t select anything. Leaving.

- Oh, Man, you’ve lost a lot. Their cakes are delicious.

I forgot to tell you. There was no spot near the window when I came in. So I sat somewhere in the corner. Not comfortable, but I can see everyone in the café. I feel like a Big Eye. Sometimes things are much better than we thought they were. Give them a chance.

This place helps us to forget. For half an hour. For a cup of warcoffee, for a piece of cake. Forget that there’s war outside. Maybe it’s the reason why this place is so popular.

Dancing waiters, good coffee, delicious cakes, music, people, talks, smiles. We all need a bit of these normal things. Count to Five by Rhye is playing.

How do I know all these songs?

I don’t.

I have one of the programs that help you to know what song is playing now.

So now you know about my secret Dancing Café.

At the end of the month, I will write new something with the details of the cafes I found this month. It’s my thank you for your support & all the warcoffee you buy for me.

I’m leaving too. Early by Joy Crookes is playing.

**********

An apple & a thought is a series of short stories I write from the cafe (or place that pretends to be it). The stories are about people I see and sometimes (almost never, here you should feel my big smile) talk with.
