#warcoffee talks about something. Celebration of life

Jan 18, 2023

Hi!

They say it’s Wednesday, January 18. Still morning here. I rarely write you in the morning. But today, new deaths happened in our fragile country & I decided to celebrate life.

- How dare I? How dare?

I don’t know. All I know now is that every minute here can be the last one. Am I afraid? No. I took my laptop & went to my favorite café. To write. To hug the pages (screen, in my case) with words. To tell something important or just some simple things like:

- Please, don’t postpone your life. Look around. See the beauty. Of course, you may have some problems now, some pain. I’m sorry about it. Just look around. Life is amazing anyway.

If these things tell you the woman from hell, so that’s true.

I cried today. For all the children dead, their parents dead, and anyone dead. I cried for cruelty in this amazing life. Two girls nearby are smiling. My eyes are having some rest on these smiles.

- Every person in this world was/is/will be born with a right to smile.

I’m smiling back. With lips, with eyes, with heart. And I am having the best warcoffee I could find in Kyiv. Because today in the midst of the war, I’m celebrating life.

I was changed a lot during these almost 11 months. I can be amazed by lanterns, forests, puddles, smiles, sky… I’ve learned to see, to hear & to celebrate life. Every day, every hour, and every minute is unique. I will take a piece of raspberry cake. Will enjoy it at home. Yes, in the evening, I will have a workout, and in ‘that’ life (before our big war), I might have thought:

- It’s not good to have a cake before the workout.

But now, this person celebrating life is ordering a delicious cake. The best cappuccino (unfortunately, it became warcoffee). Doing some writing in a beautiful place.

- How dare I? How dare? What? To live?

Please join me in the celebration of life. Please join us in keeping peace in the world. For these smiles on the faces of our children & their children. And we all will be awarded the thought:

- I keep them smiling & celebrating life.
