#warcoffee talks about something. Drones ...

#warcoffee talks about something. Drones night. Missiles morning

Jan 26, 2023

Hi!

Let’s put it here? On this screen? Between you and me. That drones night and missiles morning.

We (I) got used. Got used to air raid alerts, to messages in Telegram channels like that:

- Please, go to the shelter. We are expecting drones (missiles) attack.

Got used to having charged devices. Always. Just in case of the next blackout.

Got used to filling everything I had with water. Just in case of no water.

Got used to using the staircase. Eighth floor? No problem and no power.

It’s not about us (me) getting used to the war and feeling very relaxed and calm. Nonono. It’s impossible.

So what about that drones night and missiles morning?

It was not unique. We already had them.

I even managed to go to sleep.

- How can people sleep when drones are flying over their heads?

- Easy. Ok. Maybe it’s not so easy when it’s your first night with them. But when it’s No N, you just tweet to the world: “Good night, I’m off to sleep. There’re drones over our heads.”

Mom called me in the morning:

- Are you ok?

Hm. Probably. If I picked up that phone.

- Yes. What’s the matter?

- Missiles attack.

- Oh. Thank you for letting me know.

There was no panic. No OMG, what are we going to do?

- Nothing. Having warcoffee. Waiting. Reading the news, Telegram channels, looking out the window.

Vlad (Son) was sleeping. Suddenly the explosion, another one. Vlad wasn’t sleeping anymore.

- We need some breakfast.

Rule No 1. When you have war and power, always seize the opportunity to make a warcoffee and something to eat. The war won’t go anywhere; the power may.

Why don’t we go to the shelter?

Ok. Maybe it’s not good (and unsafe), but I don’t want to. We don’t want to. Once I asked Vlad:

- Do you want to go to the shelter during air raid alerts?

- No.

- Ok. It’s not safe. But I don’t want too.

Next month it will be a year. A year of this full-scale war. We’re lucky to stay alive, sane, and sometimes even with some sort of humor. We can go to the cinema (unfortunately, we could not finish watching Babylon yesterday because of an air raid alert; the movie was good but strange a little), to a workout, for a walk, to have a warcoffee, to study…

Okok. I need to go. I’m at the café now. Wrote here. We had no power at home. Drones night and missiles morning did some harm to our energy infrastructure but not crucial. 55 missiles were launched, 24 drones. And after that, we’re still here.
