The Benefits Of Spending Time In Nature
By Jo Watt
Recently I remembered a friend telling me about Forest Bathing.
As a child growing up on a farm, I spent a majority of my time outside, in the bush or in nature. It was second nature to me having so much wide open space.
There is so many health benefits for spending time outside in nature. It can help:
- Reduce Stress
- Help to lower Blood Pressure
- Instils safety and nurture
- Enhance our immune system
- Reduce anxiety
- Improve our mood
- Promote relaxation
Personally I love getting outside under the trees near water and walking around on the ground barefoot. That’s my favourite way to connect with nature.
