30 March 2021. Two weeks to end this block, so time to introduce some harder workout to elicit VO2max adaptation. This and next week will have one hard workout and then move up to three into the next block. Body is adjusting nicely to the training load so no better time to vary the level of stress. I have a very good polarisation in my training around 80/20, which should allow for proper recovery. We are now also introducing carb periodisation with the Dr, adding a cup of rice 🍚 or portion of pasta 🍝 on the hard/long days 3/4 times a week to manage glycogen depletion. Food!!!⠀
