Fuck okay let's talk about the justice system.
You know what our god damn legal system is a load of fucking shit in a system that is designed to protect shitty radical white males and kick the fucking shit out of everyone else.
First off: Fuck that Rittenhouse kid, little shit shouldn't have been anywhere near that god damn town that night, I don't care if his dad lived in that city, I don't care that he thinks he was protecting a community. That's why we're suppose to have police (bwahahahahaha) to take care of criminal issues, not have people getting gunned down because some 17 year old is walking around broadly with a rifle. I am a nonviolent person. I haven't been in an actual "fight" since 7th grade. I have lived my 33 years of life without having to pick up a gun. I'd like to live the next 66 years without having to pick up a gun. If I saw that kid walking down my street with an AR-15 I would immediately have identified him as a threat and assumed he was going to hurt or kill someone. You want a gun for home defense? Fine (you're dumb but fine). You want a gun to hunt Bambi in the woods? fine, get a license do it legally. I cannot fathom going to a place you know is going to be a hot bed armed for a fight and then acting like you didn't expect to get into a fight.
I've been to protests, I've marched in some crowds, I've seen a few riots in my time. When you go to a protest there are 4 types of people there:
Cops: There to beat the shit out of anyone who looks at them funny and deploy chemical weapons and tactics even the US military wouldn't use in a war zone because half the time it's pretty much a war crime what they do to civilians
Anarchist/Dumb liberal radicals: idiots who show up wanting to fight the cops for their glorious revolution in the dumbest way possible that basically fuels the fire of hatred in this country
Conservative fuckheads: bunch of shitty ass white guys who show up in shitty paramilitary cosplay they can't even wear properly with guns to play out their hyper violent fetishes thinking they are playing out some sort of wild west vigilantism against those crazy liberal types. They are also out there to fuel the fires of hatred in this country.
Actual protesters: The people who think they can assemble peacefully and think that marching around is some how going to sway government decisions into not doing whatever shitty thing they are doing at the moment. They usually get caught in the cross fire between the other three and then are quickly labeled as Anarchist/Dumb liberal radicals when they complain about how they are treated by the cops and conservative fuck heads.
But the justice system. The system that is suppose to maintain law and order in our country and keep the seams of our society from bursting. We watch as the trials that decide the rules and laws of this nation are boiled down to what amount to game shows. The defendant in a murder case is drawing the names of his jurors out of a hat. Might as well just have a spin the wheel game up there for him to play to decide which sentence he ends up getting. Fun! Excitement! Ups! Downs! Come one come all as the killer looks to get off or risk it all!
On the other side of things the fate of vaccinate mandates by the government trying to do the thing they are suppose to for once (protect their citizens) could have been decided by a ping pong ball bounce to select which court gets to have the trial. Because why have logic and science dictate our futures when we can do fun goofy things and let random luck decided the fate of millions.
In Oklahoma a man (Julius Darius Jones) is about to be put to death because the Governor doesn't seem interested in clemency. Or he's playing with fate to do the last minute phone call that is popular is movies and tv for dramatic effect. Regardless of the fact that the case has gained international attention with multiple countries contacting the Governor requesting clemency. Celebrities, moveon.org petitions, affidavits from the defense, bias jurors, and it's not enough to at least stay the death sentence of one black man. If he was as really "pro-life" as he claimed he would have granted clemency immediately and to everyone else on death row. But that's not what "pro-life" is about. His decision is based in the fact that he's a politician and is thinking about reelection. Is it going to hurt his reelection changes to give clemency or to not give clemency.
Playing games with the lives of people because of power. That's all it is. The same old story. Placate one bases and rile up another one. That's what our "justice system" does. It's not designed with fairness or balance. It's designed to suppress one group and let another group run wild.
Of course the whole thing needs to be overhauled. Of course we need to find a way to put in impartial judges in cases. Of course this is never going to happen. What are you going to do? go out and protest the justice system? Good luck with the tear gas.
