What do all entrepreneurs need, but don't have enough of?

What’s the one thing that all business owners need but can’t get enough of?

TIME.

Especially if you’re a solopreneur, you’re likely wearing all the hats in your business, which means you probably spend about 65-75% of your time taking care of the background systems and processes that keep your business running. Everything from social media posts, email newsletters, making sure all your client appointments are in your calendar, taking care of website updates, database maintenance, and so on. It’s a never-ending list!

This doesn’t leave much time for the revenue-generating activities that grow your business. You know, the stuff that actually puts more money in your bank account!

So what’s the solution?

OUTSOURCING.

But what? And how? [insert confusion and despair, and a little bit of tearing out your hair]...

The best place to start is to write down everything you do in your business, over a 2-3 week period. Then, figure out which items on that list are directly related to generating income. These are the things that you should be spending most of your time on.

The next step is to go back to your original list and mark all the tasks that you can do but find super tedious, and the things that make you want to scream because you don’t quite have the skills. These are the things you should definitely delegate to someone else.

Are there any tasks on your original list that you’re okay with – or even actually like doing – but know they’re not the best use of your time? You should probably delegate those as well.

So that takes care of the “what.” As for “how” – that’s where I come in, like a sparkly fairy godmother, to take care of all those pesky background administrative tasks, so you can focus on the stuff that made you want to become an entrepreneur in the first place.
