Finally...Membership Rewards Are Set Up!

Apr 11, 2021

It's been more than a year since I said I was going to set up membership rewards. And today, I finally got around to doing it. I'm still toying with a few extras and planning out some fun stuff, but, at least I can check this off of my to-do list.

Deciding What is Worth What

The hardest part is trying to separate what forms of content are more valuable than others. From a writer's perspective, there's only so much you can do.

It's very difficult for someone like me to put a price tag on information. I'd rather just give everything out for free and help as many as I can. However, there is a lot of good I can do with generating revenue from the different things I'm doing.

For example, I'd love to do more and bigger giveaways in the future. I don't make enough on my own to afford some of the extravagant things I want to do. I'm able to pay my bills and have a few bucks extra every month. But I'm no Mr. Beast.

Setting Up Content for All Levels of Support

I spent the day coming up with the different levels of content I plan to create regarding everyone's level. In fact, I have plans for everything from just BMC followers to those who pay for the Gold Memberships.

I don't like to leave anyone in the dark. So, what is created for these different levels is probably going to be a work in progress.

At any rate, I think I set up a decent flow for who gets what based on their support level.

Making Sure I Deliver

Now comes the hardest part...making sure I deliver. Usually, I am exceptionally forgetful. Especially when it comes to things I haven't done as a normal habit.

So, I am setting up schedules in Asana to make sure I deliver what is promised to supporters. Since I have it open at all times on my computer, it's easy for me to see when certain things need to go out.

To be perfectly honest, I'm kind of excited to take these next few steps. I'm definitely stepping outside of my comfort zone. However, I think everything is moving in the right direction. Or, at least in the direction I want them to go.

Working On Images Now

Next up on my to-do list is setting up the imagery. Not just for the membership levels to make them look more enticing. But, the banner image for Buy Me a Coffee as well. Plus, I am going to add a few photo albums to share pics that aren't available on social media.

I have a lot of work ahead of me. But let me know if there is something you think I should change or if you have any ideas about where to go from here. I'm always open to suggestions.
