Kind of a Blah Week, But Working on Doing More

Oct 15, 2021

Well, this week wasn't nearly the awe-inspiring experience I wanted it to be. But, that doesn't mean it was a complete failure. I did manage to get a few things done for my priority projects. Unfortunately, I didn't get nearly the amount of things done that I wanted to do.

However, I did manage to get far more done this week than I did last. And that's all that really matters in the end...being more efficient with my time overall.

So, even though I had to move a few things to the back burner, I still can call it a win simply because of the things I did manage to finish.

I Forgot How Much Fun YouTube Videos Are to Make

I was able to get a few videos done this week for the YouTube channel. I almost forgot just how much fun I have making video content. Even though they don't get a lot of views, it's still something I enjoy doing.

I would like to figure out how to get the same fun-loving persona from the live streams into recorded videos, though. I just seem less jovial in comparison. Maybe I should drink more before recording.

Seriously, though, I would like to figure out my problem and have a bit more of the personality I have during live streams.

At any rate, it's nice to get back into uploading videos again. I'm looking forward to some of the topics I'm covering next week and getting back into the Monday, Wednesday, Friday upload schedule.

Getting the eBook Closer to Completion

With each passing week, I've been getting closer and closer to being done with my first eBook. Today's YouTube video is actually me putting the eBook into Kindle Create. I still want to go through and perhaps flesh out a few areas and then import it into Grammarly to spruce it up a bit. But, I'm getting super excited about being done.

It's to the point where I work on it before bed because I am motivated to finish the project. If I didn't have another video to do today, I'd work on it some more.

For me, this is one hell of a milestone. I've always had a problem with finishing things. From games to stories, I just lack the conviction to see anything through. Well, I can't say "anything," as there are a lot of things I will see to the bitter end.

In any case, finishing this book is going to be massive for me as a creator and on a personal level.

Working on Efficiency for Next Week

Sure, I didn't get as much done this week as I wanted. But I did get more work in than I did last week...so, I'll call that a win.

Next week, I plan on pushing a bit further to get back into a good rhythm for my workload.

I'm still having an issue getting a steady flow of content going for Vocal media. I want to do a part 2 to the 30 days of using Vocal video I have, but I just can't seem to get into a good groove for writing. I'm going to try a few things next week that will hopefully get me back into production mode.

That's how you build onto success, really. Finding what is holding you back and then taking steps to rectify the situation. Sometimes it's difficult to honestly point out your shortcomings without getting sucked into a debilitating depression. The trick is to not dwell on those shortcomings and focus more on how to get your head back in the game.

Take Adequate Time for Yourself

It's vastly important to make sure you're taking adequate time for yourself. Apparently, I needed just a few more breaths after September to really crank up the heat. And that's fine. Because if I push too hard when my mind and body aren't ready, it increases the likelihood of burnout.

The more well-rested you are, the better your decision-making abilities. Don't forget to make sure you're giving yourself enough time to recharge. You've got a long way to go, and you don't want to throw in the towel just yet.
