TOP TEN KUNG FU MOVIES

What are the top 10 kung-fu movies? You can choose from a wide range of martial arts films, including older classics and newer kung-fu and karate movies.

1. Enter the Dragon Bruce Lee's 1973 classic karate film is considered by many to be one of his finest. Bruce Lee, John Saxon Jim Kelly and Bob Wall star in this movie. Bolo is a famous martial artist, bodybuilder and has appeared in many karate and kung-fu movies. Bruce Lee shows why he's a great martial arts artist in this film. He uses quick strikes, a variety weapons and his adaptability when it comes to his kung-fu techniques. Great movie! Enter the Dragon showcases Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do martial arts style. Four chili pepper rating.

2. Legend of Drunken Master What is there not to love about this film? Jackie Chan plays a young student of karate who is taught a drunken style by his drunken teacher. Drunken Kung Fu, a form of Shaolin Karate, is unique. It is unclear if this style is a real kung-fu or a film creation. You will see in this martial arts film the drunken master fighting with his students against an evil Wushu group, as well as their master. The final fight is hilarious! Jackie Chan's drunken kung-fu moves are amazing. The Drunken Master doesn't take themselves too seriously and uses a good amount of humor throughout the film. This movie has a very good martial arts fight. This martial arts film is entertaining. This movie is rated four chili peppers.

3. Jet Li – Fearless. This martial arts film from 2006 is the best historical Wushu movie with a serious, drama-oriented focus. Jet Li plays Chinese Martial Arts Master Huo Yuanjia. Huo Yuanjia began learning martial arts after watching his father teach other students. Huo, who was a less-than-competent child, develops his Kung Fun skills and beats all his rivals. He becomes cocky. Huo suffers tragedy because of his irresponsible combat actions. This tragedy causes reflection and a shift in attitude. In the early 1900s, the European influence on China began. Master Huo, the Chinese Boxing champion, defeats foreigners to instill pride in the Chinese people. This is an excellent movie with martial arts fighting and action. The character will make you love, hate, and then like it. This film is not funny, but it has a lot of drama. It's like a Greek tragedy. This film is one I've watched four times and have never tired of. Rated 5 chili peppers.

4. Big Trouble in Little China. The 1986 kung-fu comedy drama starring Kurt Russell was released. This film is not on everyone's list of top ten kung-fu films, but it stands out for its quality and use of Hollywood film techniques. Kurt Russell is involved in kung-fu warriors and a kidnapping. There are also epic action scenes. Kurt Russell's battle with Lo Pan, a mysterious 2000-year-old kung fu expert, is the climax. This film is not slow. This film is full of action and has many twists. This martial arts film is entertaining and fun to watch. Four chili peppers.

5. Karate Kid. This 1984 karate film is the first in a series of three Karate Kid films with Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita. Elisabeth Shue also appeared in two other Karate Kid films. In 2010, Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith starred in a new Karate Kid film. This is the story of a smart kid who learns karate and life from a controversial and unassuming Okinawan Karate Master. Who hasn't heard the phrase "Wax On, Wax Off"? This is the story of a child who wants to have everything immediately, but has to learn that you must work hard for anything valuable. In the second part of the story, there is an unscrupulous instructor who teaches that you must win at all costs. Here, the two karate worlds meet. Daniel is caught in the middle, trying to learn the subtle teachings of Master Miyagi versus the Americanized form of competitive karate. The importance of the film is to show that martial arts can be at different levels. Martial arts is as much mental as it is physical. Martial arts is more than just competing in competitions. Rating 3 chili peppers.

6. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon premiered in 2000, to great reviews. It won four Academy Awards and had very high ratings. YunFat, Michelle Yeoh and Ziyi were the stars of this classic kung-fu movie. This is in many ways a classic kung-fu movie with a Greek tragedie storyline. The scope of this film, the scenery and the storyline are all huge. This film features a quest for a missing treasure and a magical sword. There is also a love story and an assassin. This film is a visual feast thanks to the scenery of Western China's mountain ranges. The scenes where the characters were flying through the air seemed a little strange but, hey it's a film. This is an excellent movie that has a lot of expression. This is an epic kung-fu classic. Five chili peppers.

7. Kill Bill. The first Kill Bill movie was released in 2003. Six months later, the second Kill Bill film completed the story. Quentin Taratino is well-known for his bloody, graphic films. Uma Thurman stars in this film, alongside David Carradine, Lucy Liu (Kung Fu TV Series), Michael Madsen and Vivica A. Fox and Daryl Hannah. This is a revenge film with Uma Thurman killing the other members in her assassins group for their betrayal. Daryl Hannan and Uma Thurman study under a Shaolin master in some scenes, which give you a deeper understanding of their training. This kung-fu/karate film has everything you need in a good movie: action, suspense and great characters. You're never sure where the film is going to go. Fantastic movie! Five chili peppers for this movie 123movie!

8. Billy Jack. Billy Jack is an American karate film that's relatively unknown. Tom Laughlin starred in this 1971 film. Billy Jack is a part-Indian character who lives on a reservation in the west. Billy Jack is a Vietnam veteran who wants to be left alone. The bad guys want to turn horse meat into dogfood. Billy Jack built a desert refuge to protect wild horses. Billy Jack is targeted by the bad guys because he's an Indian. The bad guys don't know that Billy Jack is an ex-Green Beret from Viet Nam and a Hapkido Karate expert. We have a classic tale of good vs. evil, with the good guy doing the right thing. Billy Jack is no slouch when it comes to fighting. This movie was not an award-winning film, but it did tell a good American story. It was not David Carridine doing kung-fu. It was an American who used the skills he learned to protect himself and his friends. If you see this movie, it's worth watching. Three chili peppers.

9. Kung Fu Hustle. The Kung Fu Hustle has a high level of entertainment. This is by far the best kung-fu comedy ever made. The characters are larger than life and the story is fantastic. The kung-fu is fun and fantastic. The characters are likable and unique. The film was released in 2004 and produced by Stephan Chow. Stephan Chow, Yah Yoen, and Oiu Yen star in the movie. This movie is fun and a great example of movie entertainment. Watch out for the woman with hair curlers and a cigarette. She is a kung-fu expert. Five chili peppers.

10. Shaolin Soccer. Stephen Chow's kung-fu comedy Kung Fu Hustle is not the only Stephen Chow kung-fu comedy. This film was first released in 2001. This film is kept interesting by a number of karate sequences and special effects. In one scene, a young woman kung-fu master is working as a street seller and making bread. You will be amazed at her hand movements and the way she spins bread dough. This scene is captivating and gives you an appreciation for the Chinese art of Kung Fu. It is a great scene when the hero uses Kung Fu to defeat the soccer team. The film is entertaining, but the quality isn't quite Hollywood. Three chili peppers.
