It's March. MARCH. How the hell did this happen? January lasted for about ten years, February came, we turned 37 and boom, now it's March. We have a few stories being released right now. Three in fact. Our horror erotica, Touch of Death, was released in the Deranged anthology. Our story, Dying Art, about a man who fully employs the zero waste policy when making furniture, is being released in Laughing at Shadows anthology and our true crime article, About a Boy, about teenage Welsh child killer, Harold Jones, is being released in the True Crime anthology by Mitzi Szerto. And we had a rejection this week. Just to keep us grounded.
Our magazine is finished! At long last. We missed our self-imposed deadline of February 22nd, but we would rather put out good content when it's ready, rather than mediocre content just for the sake of meeting a deadline. This is our first magazine. It has to be good. We have to be proud of it. And now we are. We've already started on issue two, by sending out interviews, requesting articles and networking at pole events.
We're now teaching 8 poledance classes a week, as well as choreographing two pole comp routines. We're back to editing our gothic novella, The Curse of Ravenhall, and hope to release it in a few months' time. We'd love to go back to Sweden and launch The Curse of Ravenhall at the book fair we missed last year, but that's in May and all our money has gone into The Pole Vault and When in Chrome Magazine.
We're currently creating a sci fi/dystopian text based computer game for LuxJam game jam. Basically, you have a weekend to create a computer game from scratch. We promised that this time, it would be a small game. We broke that promise within a few hundred words. Oh well.
People keep telling us we need to slow down and take time off. We can't! There's no such thing as time off when you start a business! Time spent not working makes us itchy. We're hoping to do more instructor courses this year. Oh and we're choreographing a new Burlesque routine for April.
We also have two new novels we want to write...
